INDIA BAT FIRST AGAINST LARA-LESS WEST INDIESIndian captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat in the second one-day international against a West Indian side missing captain Brian Lara.
Lara opted out of the day-night game Wednesday at the Barabati stadium with a sore knee. Opener Chris Gayle will lead the tourists and Devon Smith replaces Lara in the team.
India brought in all-rounder Joginder Sharma and off-spinner Ramesh Powar in place of Suresh Raina and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth from the side that won the first match in Nagpur by 14 runs on Sunday.
The four-match series is being played in the build-up to the World Cup that will be held in the Caribbean from March 13 to April 28.
